NIO unveils new 483bhp ET5 Touring

NIO has revealed its new ET5 Touring, described as its first EV tourer for Europe.
The ET5 Touring follows from the reveal of the ET5 Sedan in December 2021. In the Touring, the sleek roof line of the ET5 has been stretched to it now delivers a total of 450 litres of boot space, which can be further expanded to a total of 1,300 litres if the rear seats are folded down.
The ET5 Touring also offers a 17mm increase in head room over the sedan for rear passengers, while 40:20:40 independent folding rear seats, a flat load space, and an electronically opening tailgate should give you the versatility for configure all that space to your liking.
Those that are planning to take their NIO ET5 Touring outdoors will also be pleased to note that there are magnetic load space straps to hang bags from in the boot, alongside two convenient storages nets and a pair of hooks in the tailgate - the latter designed to allow you to hang wetsuits. The car also comes with easy-to-clean fabrics, as well as a camping mode, and a portable flashlight stored in the trunk.
Over to the front, the ET5 Touring has retained the sleek design of the ET5 Sedan, allowing of a 0.25 drag coefficient. The Touring also retains the sedan's muscular haunches and IllumiBlade taillight, but now gets an integrated roof spoiler.
