Nissan has unveiled its third 'Hyper' concept, following from the Hyper Urban and Hyper Adventure concept cars, all set to feature at the Japan Mobility show come 25 October 2023.
This latest concept, the Hyper Tourer, takes the form of an all-electric minivan, and is geared towards those that enjoy the company of friends and associates, whether on a road trip or business outing, as well as those that, apparently, enjoy the finer things in life.
Just like the other two concepts, this Nissan Hyper Tourer gets Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology, allowing it to utilise its high-capacity battery to power homes or stores or any needed equipment when travelling on business.
On the outside, the Nissan Hyper Tourer concept gets a body comprised of smooth body panels and sharp character lines inspired by traditional Japanese beauty. Its smooth sides are also said to communicate the car's smooth all-electric drive, while aiding aerodynamic performance. You'll also note that the car gets wheels complete with a Kumiko pattern.
In the cabin, this Kumiko pattern is repeated on the overhead console, while a flat LED panel in the floor is used to display imagery of a riverbed, adding to a sense of relaxation for passengers seated within.
The Nissan Hyper Tourer is said to make use of the firm's e-4orce all-wheel control system and also comes equipped with fully autonomous driving technology. These allow the car to feature front seats that can swivel 360-degress so all within can have face-to-face conversations.
Those seated at the rear, meanwhile, will be able to use a wearable display to view and operate the car's navigation and audio system. Finally, an artificial intelligence system will also monitor the biometric signs of passengers - such as their brain waves, heart rate, breathing and perspiration - to automatically select complementary music and adjust the in-cabin lighting.
