Close up inspection of the perimeter fence at SMRT's Bishan depot revealed no signs of breach of entry. Investigations are ongoing after a train was found vandalised at the depot last Monday.
Speaking to The Straits Times, investigators said that this has raised possibility that the act was an inside job.
It is suspected that the graffiti was spray-painted between 1:00am and 5:00am last Monday. This is the third incident of such nature in four years.
The graffiti was spotted by staff-monitored CCTV cameras when the train was departing the depot for service. The train was halted and withdrawn from service at around 5:30am.
