Volkswagen has unveiled the all-new T-Roc, which retains the characteristic T-Roc DNA with its coupe-like rear end, yet makes the most of the advantages of its extra size, by boasting an added 120mm in overall length compared to its predecessor.
The new T-Roc features new front LED headlights as standard, with optional IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights (standard for R-Line and Style in Germany) that are connected to the white illuminated Volkswagen logo by a narrow light strip. Its rear end also features a continuous LED crossbar with a red illuminated Volkswagen logo, depending on equipment.
Inside, the T-Roc impresses with a significantly improved interior, such as its dash panel upholstered in a newly developed fabric. It also adopts features from the Tiguan and Tayron, such as the latest evolutionary stage of the driving experience control, which can be used to select driving profiles and control the volume, among other things. A new feature in the T-Roc and in its class is also the optional windscreen head-up display.
Thanks to its overall length increase, the new T-Roc can now seat taller people comfortably. In addition, an electrically adjustable 14-way ergoActive seat with massage functions will be available in the Style version for the first time on the model.
The boot volume also increases - by 30 litres - to 475 litres when loaded up to the height of the rear seat backrests. The new 2025 T-Roc is also the third SUV from Volkswagen to be based on the latest evolutionary stage of the modular transverse matrix, the MQB evo - and thus benefits from the hardware and software developments in this modular assembly matrix.
The new T-Roc will also be available exclusively with hybrid petrol engines in the European market. At launch, it will be offered with two 48V mild hybrid drives, both of which are equipped with a 1.5-litre engine and offer outputs of 114bhp and 148bhp. They will then be followed by two full-hybrid drive systems that have been developed entirely from scratch and will come with front-wheel drive.
As with its predecessor, the new T-Roc will be available later down the line with 4MOTION all-wheel drive in combination with a 2.0-litre engine, which will then likewise be offered as a mild hybrid. A T-Roc R will also arrive in the future as the most powerful variant.
In order to make configuration as simple as possible, Volkswagen has combined the standard and optional individual features and packages with the T-Roc's range of four equipment versions: Trend, Life, Style, and R-Line.
Six paint finishes are also available for the car: Pure White solid, Wolf Grey metallic, Canary Yellow solid, Flamed Red metallic, Celestial Blue metallic, and Grenadilla Black metallic. Its roof is also available in the bi-colour Black Solid colour.
