Train vandalised at SMRT's Bishan depot

A train was found vandalised at SMRT's Bishan depot last Monday - the third incident of such nature in four years.
Police received a call for assistance at 6:17am on Monday morning requesting for assistance along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.
The Straits Times reported that SMRT spokesman Alina Boey has confirmed the breach of security, and said that the vandalism was found on one of the trains at the Bishan depot on 5th May.
Train operator SMRT has been fined $200,000 and $50,000 for previous security breaches at its depots.
In a similar case which took place in May 2010, two vandals cut through the fence of SMRT's Changi depot and spray painted graffiti on a train. Swiss National Oliver Fricker was one of them, and was sentenced to jail for seven months and given three strokes of the cane. His accomplice, Briton Lloyd Dane Alexander, remains at large.
