Try not to smile challenge: CAM EV teases Microvan launch

Okay, I've failed. And in all seriousness, how can anyone not smile after seeing its front? CAM EV - Sendok Group's electric mobility division - has teased the upcoming launch of its Microvan at the recent 2025 CETA and MobilityX Asia event with a showcase model featuring two wide eyes and an equally wide grin, complemented with raised eyebrows, as if its joy wasn't emphasised enough.
And true to its nomenclature, its tiny. If it was human, you'd probably tousle its hair and refer to it as "squirt". Measuring 3,500mm long, 1,240mm wide, and 1,700mm tall, its clearly not built for zipping around, as shown by its power outputs of either 10kW or 15kW with 105Nm of torque regardless. It can also travel a fair bit: A 15.97kWh battery offers up 150km of range and 3.3kW AC charging.
Oh, if you were wondering how will two or three people fit in the front cabin, the short version is they can't. That’s because the Microvan only offers a single, centrally mounted seat. Yeah, don't drive this van on date night, unless you want to transport your other half in the cargo hold. For clarity, we absolutely do not recommend that either.
Upon further digging, it does appear to be based off the Nextem Vaquita, although dimensions and outputs differ slightly. And while the Vaquita offers quite a fair bit of customisations for a plethora of roles (garbage truck, street sweeper, transporting goods; take your pick), we're unsure if the CAM EV Microvan is able to replicate its multifunctionality. Although with that smile, it'll probably get away with it.
We're pretty sure the happy decals aren't standard either, which is a blooming shame, because it should - in theory - reduce road rage by a fair bit and separate the wheat from the chaff. Only an absolutely miserable person would blare their horn at this pint-sized cutie, unless it was driven by an incompetent, in which case I stand corrected.
