The June holidays are just around the corner, and if you're thinking of switching up your family transport for something that can take on more than its fair share of weekend drives, you might want to check out the new Nissan Serena e-POWER.
The hybrid MPV, which we first saw here at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show, now returns with a revised front that features a new iteration of the firm's V-motion grille, visually integrated with its LED head lights. Its rear, meanwhile, also gets redesigned vertical taillights, which sit at either end of that dual-opening tailgate.
In the cabin, the Nissan Serena e-POWER offers seating for seven or eight, thanks to its zero gravity-inspired seats, designed to optimise passenger posture. Retained from the previous Serena here, are the use of large windows so all seated within are treated to a sense of spaciousness.
And aiding those family trips is the use of a plasmacluster ioniser as part of the vehicle's tri-zone climate control system, which purifies the cabin air and combats lingering odours, so every drive is done in a fresh-smelling environment.
Easy entry and exit from this cabin is guaranteed thanks to the Serena's twin hands-free auto-sliding doors. And the children can be kept entertained thanks to the firm's 12.3-inch NissanConnect infotainment system, which comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

And the car will happily tow all when its time to move off as well. Powering this Serena e-POWER is Nissan's second generation e-POWER technology, which here makes use of a 1.4-litre engine as a generator. This generator then sends current that goes into a 161bhp electric motor (a remarkable jump from the 14bhp output of its predecessor). Nissan states that this drivetrain gives the hybrid MPV a WLTP fuel economy of 20.4km/L.
Interested? Nissan is celebrating the launch of the Serena e-POWER with a special family day weekend come 18 and 19 May 2024 that will see all guests being treated not only to exclusive discounts on the hybrid MPV, but also a host of exciting carnival games and magic shows for the kids, on top of mouthwatering delights at both Nissan showrooms!
