DISHONEST Shop. I went to Exclusive Workshop for routine servicing, who recommended me to have my tyre rotation done at Chen Jin. Which I agreed, once completed, I paid 25.00 Everything was fine, till I realised the paint on my rims was fading exposing the scratches I received in an accident 2 weeks before the rotation And it turns out to be still on the same front right rim. Thats when I realised that they didn't do the rotation at all. So I called in to explain the situation, then they started claiming maybe my back tyre is bigger ( if thats the cause, why collect my money and why didnt information me) - but its not true, all 4 tryes are the same size. So the real shocker is they said, maybe I changed it myself.... OMG if I did bother or if I could do it, why would I pay you to do it. Just to scam you for 25? So they wanted me to go down for them to check, and will do it for me (again) , if proven true. I told them, I can drive down and let them see, but I told them I only accept refund and not a redo. Considering, they didnt do the job in the 1st place and then indirectly accusing me of cheating them of 25SGD? Of course they declined, and the accusation is even more direct now. In their words " How I know you didn't change yourself and claim from us?" So I have decided not to pursue the issue. let them have my 25, afterall, its not about the money, its about doing the right thing and service recovery and importantly Honesty. Definitely, someone in the shop is not telling the truth. With all that said, there are other tyre shops out there, Chen Jin for sure is 1 not to be considered. - Jude Lee

Hi Jude, sorry to hear about your unhappy encounter with us. We do value your feedback and had clarified with our staffs. You called in on 30/08/18 mention you do not have any receipt and told our staff about the rotation job with us on 14/08/18. Without hesitation she still try her best to find out what happen and see what we can do for you. After checking with our mechanics, they say all rotation job are done properly, no special case. Any special case will inform customer or Exclusive workshop in your case. But still we do not want to jump into conclusion. Our staff called back and explain that maybe your "front tyres tread are thicker" and we would like you to drive down to let us have a check. NOT your rear size is bigger. Our staff clearly know Vezel don't run on staggered. To be fair to you and to my mechanics, and most importantly to resolve the issue. We had offer to do whatever job you deem necessary that you claim that we did not do. But you insist for refund which we decline. As you can see, even without any receipt we had try our best to investigate and resolve this issue with you but you chose not to accept it. I hope you can put yourself in our stand and understand from our point of view. We have been in this business for a long time. We treat all our customers with sincerity and honesty.

Went Chen Jin for tyre rotation, free 2 times that came with rim purchase.

Have the habit of checking car pre and post job, found a scratch on the paint job, deep scratch albeit small(cannot polish off), 5 months car old bought new, just did PPS.

Service recovery was non existent with blame pushing, story telling with irrelevant references, refunded the 2nd rotation of $20 and drove off.

Will not be returning, patronize at your own risk, very bad experience despite long time name.

Hi swift0601a/Andy, we are deeply sorry to hear about the unfortunate scratch mark found on your vehicle.
We do value your feedback and rest assured that we will do our best to investigate and resolve this issue.

As you have mentioned, we have been in this business for a long time and will always treat all our customers with sincerity and honesty.
The proper and careful handling of customer's vehicle have always been our utmost pride and concern.

We have checked with our mechanics and thoroughly reviewed the incident and procedures again.
When you leave your car to us for rotation, you did not do any checking with or without our mechanic, after job was done no checking was done on the site either, hence it is very difficult for us to conclude when the scratch was caused.
Our findings so far have shown that the small scratch mark (top fender area) could not have been caused by our mechanics or the wheel rotation job you had.
It is highly unlikely for a simple wheel rotation job to cause the said accidental scratch as all vehicles are properly lifted for most automated checks & tasks to be performed.
We would be glad to take full responsibilities if there were adequate and compelling evidences for the unfortunate issue.

We take pride in our customer service and highly value all our customers and their vehicles.
We would like to clarify that we do not endorse or believe in fault/blame pushing.
Still, we hope that you can understand our position.

Awesome service! Explain to us in detail about the different tyre and which will be a better choice. Customer service was magnificent by calling us a day before to find out what rims we are looking at so that they can prepare in advance to let us make comparison. Battery Change for Mazda 3 with start/stop function  Posted on 06-Dec-2017

After two and half years my Mazda 3 had a caution light to indicate istop function not working cause by main battery not holding voltage.
Agent quoted the Q85 batt cost at $320.
Went through this website to search for workshops selling battery with good reviews.Call them to get some quotes and Chen Jin had the best price with a one year warranty.
Adeline was very helpful to check on the stock and call the minute my Q85 batt arrived.
Staff knew exactly what to do to change the battery.Checking my caution light and connecting a spare batt before the change.Then checking the system again after the change to make sure everything is working fine.They took less than 10 minutes and the job was well done.
Most of the reviews on Chen Jin is about tyres and rims but I must say they do a good job on the car battery as well.
Will definitely return for future batt change and hope this batt will last just as long as the first one.
