A new IS F, IS coupe and a compact crossover from Lexus might be heading our way

Lexus unveiled the mesmerising LF-CC coupe concept last year at the 2012 Paris Auto Show as a design preview for the recently launched IS sedan and a forthcoming coupe spinoff. Sadly, news of the IS coupe has been dead ever since Paris and the launch of the IS - until now.

The RC F - if it is indeed the coupe IS - is highly expected to receive the same engine setup as the new IS F.
Besides the new IS F and RC/RC F a compact crossover - called the NX - may also be in the works. Among other powertrains, it is expected a hybrid option to be available with a concept heading our way to the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show at the end of the year.
Diesel engines are also unlikely to appear of a Lexus anytime soon as the premium Japanese marque feels a hybrid would offer lower emissions and fits well with the brand. Yet Lexus claims it is easy to conceive a plug-in hybrid for the IS but fears the lack of demand after disappointing sales of parent company Toyota's Prius plug-in.

A U.K. based source is reporting that the IS coupe will go on sale next year, as a 2015 model, and styling is to be largely similar to the LF-CC concept. It also cited, that based on recent trademark filings, it could be called the RC. A separate, RC F, filing has also been discovered - pointing to a performance oriented version of the same car.
