Borneo Motors celebrates BMS50 with opening of new Inchcape Centre

Borneo Motors marked its BMS50 celebrations with the official opening of the new Inchcape Centre at Pandan Crescent on 6 July. The BMS50 celebrations commemorate the 50th anniversary of the incorporation of Borneo Motors (S) Pte Ltd as well as its partnership with Toyota in Singapore.
The event saw visitors and distinguished guests take a tour of the new Inchcape Centre, which was built over 20 months at a cost of $55 million, and spans 20,000m2 spread over 10 storeys.
The new facility houses the regional headquarters of Inchcape Asia and the corporate offices of Inchcape's Singapore management team. It is also home to a regional training centre, a body and paint shop, as well as vehicle mechanical service facilities for Toyota, Lexus, Suzuki and HINO vehicles.
The opening of the Inchcape Centre is the latest milestone in the storied history of BMS and its 50 years in Singapore. Among the highlights in that time include achieving the Triple Crown of being the number one brand for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and overall vehicle sales, a feat it has managed for a total of nine times since 1988. This year also makes the 25th anniversary of BMS introducing the Lexus brand into Singapore since its debut here in 1992.
