I just purchased the Soundstream STL2.350 from Audioimage. I can only say their service is excellent, even though I was only purchasing a 2nd hand item. They are honest and good to deal with.

I would highly recommend them.

I had to register an account to post this review, its a hassle that I'm willing to undertake to show my appreciation to Ted (Boss of Auto Image), who had humbled me with his outstanding service.

I shall not touch on the specifics of the solid technical expertise that Ted and his team possess since this has already been validated by the numerous 5 stars reviews posted here by others. Instead, I would just share another less stated aspect - that Ted is a responsible professional who takes ownership of the service performed by his team, and that he would go the extra mile to see to providing quality deliverables no matter how late it is.

In essense, there were a couple of issues (minor) which I realised after leaving his workshop. It was around 7pm when I Watsapped Ted to seek his help (his workshop closed at 6pm. I was the last customer and I saw his team leaving one by one, at around the same time as I left). He tried to troubleshoot over the phone. When its to no avail, he amazed me by offering to come to my premises to fix it.

The crux of the matter is that my premises was a long drive from his workshop (east to west) and he actually came down with his family and kids (after their dinner) to fix the issues. I'm truly amazed and humbled by his professionalism and taking ownership of the errors (which were only minor) made by his team. It was already 9pm plus when he resolved the issues, bearng in mind that he got his hands dirty doing the work himself, when he could have asked me to drive to his workshop the next day for his team to resolve the issues.

Took the chance to chat with his wife and kids, and found that he is just another family man, meaning he is just like many of us who see things in the same light, been through the ups and downs of life like the common man on the street. I'm glad I have found the perfect workshop for me and also a friend in him.

Such service that I thought could only be found in Japan, now SG has it too.

It wil b a disservice to ted and Simon if I didn't post this review. This is my 3rd time doing ice installation and never have I seen this level of detail and quality. No slipshod work jus to quickly pass car back to owner. Simon even rectified completely the already mounted speakers just to get the perfect fit. Lots of extras tat I have never seen in my previous twice ice installations (other installers). The 105 excellent reviews I got to experience too. Period. Only autoimage for me.

Had been scouting around for new speakers for my new Estima and decided to visit Autoimage. Was served by Ted & Simon, whom had given me a very professional and honest suggestions for the set up based on my music preference.

Went to several other audio shops to seek second opinions but decided to go back to Autoimage after collecting the car. As I feel very comfortable with Ted and Simon.

Installed the speakers, car dvr camera and other accessories (which I had purchased thru Taobao) by Simon and Wah. These folks did not rush through the job but paid plenty of attention and caution in their work! Ted had professionally explained all the details on the car dvr and playing a great host (offering drinks and even wanted to help me buy food,)!

If you are looking for value for money products, inexpensive yet great workmanship services, non-pushy and honest audio shop, look no further; Autoimage is definitely the right place to be!

Normally, I spend my weekends in Malaysia scouting for shops to do everything for my car back in my student days. I wanted to try everything and anything. Cheap modifications lasted a month or two and things got worse when I failed inspection with my engine bay being deemed as a fire hazard. My woofer took up half the bootspace in my MPV and wire connections came loose after a little harsh driving. Wires hung loose, interior lightings failed - it couldn't get worse.

Everything changed with a trip to Autoimage. It was beyond professional. Not only was my new audio fixed perfectly - everything else was corrected. My rudimentary woofer was dumped, my amplifier changed. Wires were neatly trimmed, soldered, taped and made super neat! Everything stowed neatly beneath removable panels. It was a dream come true. Every bit of patched work i had accumulated in my student days were gone. It was neat, professional and awesome.

Ofcourse one would expect a huge bill from such hard labor - NO! To my amazement, most things were done for free. I've never been happier to pay for services at this workshop and i never returned to those cheap shops in JB ever again. Even for small things, I'd go to Autoimage as the service and wire work is top notch.

Great auto-mobile experience.
Thanks Ted and team for the ICES and reverse cam installation. So far so good, after perm fixed the tweeters at the side doors, no more issue.

I am very impressed with Ted, Simon and his team of installers. Each takes pride in the work they do and handles the cabling work professionally. You will need to give them time for the installation as they are busy most of the time with about 3 cars in the workshop almost all the time. Pop by to talk to Ted on your requirements and he will provide advice to you on each piece of work.

I had to install 2 amps, customise Spare tyre board to mount amps and capacitor, 2 sets of component speakers. Lots of cabling work and minimal sound proofing work as car comes with 1 layer of sound proofing. To execute the 2nd layers will be massive work.

The EQ in my pioneer head unit is set at flat now. The music playback is excellent and I highly recommend for you to take a visit to discuss with Ted.

Price wise, it is not your regular cheap and cheerful installer. However, when you observe their work and quality of work. They take pride in the installation and do a good job and more importantly, they take care of your car.

You will be served with high quality of customer service and they take customer satisfaction as their priority. Do cater for time and don't rush them. Fine workmanship takes time. At the end of it, you are the one who will benefit from their work.

Excellent Job Ted and team. Thank you for the good work. :)

I just upgraded my factory speakers to a morel speaker that was recommend by another workshop 5 days ago. but found out that the speakers did not achieve the sound quality that i was hoping for as i spent over $400 bucks. I did not trust that workshop anymore and hence i google up mycarforum and found Ted.

After reading up all the review in mycarforum, i decided to give it a try and went down early on sunday.

i was attended by Ted and told him that i need a check on my sound system that i just installed 5 days ago. He went to my car and profile my sound system. He mention to me that the sound system that i installed was the lowest grade from morel and the speakers will not be able to perform the bass i wanted.

he took time and effort to explain in details to me that what i could do to solve the issue without spending more. I ended up with sound-proofing my entire ride and additional brand new set of helix speakers.

The end results is speechless. His technician "Ah Hwa" workmanship is so detailed that once you seen them work on your ride, you know you're in good hands.

Price are reasonable and i would highly recommend Ted and his team to those who are new to audio system. They will explain everything to you.

Thanks again to Ted and Ah hwa for working the extra hour to complete my ride.

Went there seeking help for my head unit as it was showing an error. After telling Ted about the problems, he quickly explained to me what might be causing it. Then in no time, the problem was found. Apparently, the speakers in my car were some "trash" installed by the previous owner. It has caused a short circuit. So, had to have all the speakers changed up. Ted recommended a few options to me. Price was reasonable. Installation was fast, and the end result was impressive. Would certainly recommend this place to everyone. Thanks Ted and company for the excellent service they have provided.

Went to sin Ming 3 times :
1st time : install pioneer 5650 HU + reverse camera
2nd time : change stock front speakers to Helix E62C component speakers
3rd time : HU accidentally back to default setting , need assistance .

Was attended by Simon on these 3 visits, he was friendly & professional throughout, not pushy on other sales item, willing to put in effort to tune FM radio stations & adjust equalizer ,reasonable price, overall very nice experience at the workshop .
Will definitely recommend to friends :)

Had just installed the Helix speakers about 3 weeks back with my stock head unit which cannot be changed because the car's functions were tied to it. The sound was much improved but it was still lacking the emotional quality I was used to with my previous car Pioneer HU and speakers. As I have long daily commutes, the somewhat uninteresting sounds were killing me. I read that sound processors could help with jiving up the sound even from a stock HU, so went to seek out Ted. He patiently explained the workings of the various sound processors but the price wasn't cheap and it was complicated. He then recommended a tiny Performa pre amp which looked so old school like those I remember in taxis of the 80s ! But man, the sound that came out after that ... sounded like a 10k set up ! And it cost a third of the sophisticated but overkill sound processor ! With his expertise and experience, a few tweaks of the knobs and he coaxed more punch and emo out of my system ! Kudos to Ted and his team for putting the needs of the customer ahead of profit !

Everyone has a cost in mind, what's important to me is the expertise in in-car sound system and customer service. Being to a few workshops and Autoimage or Ted in person, makes me the most comfortable to settle for his workshop's product and workmanship.

No hard-selling, a display of confidence in his product knowledge and of course, in true words, a satisfying result of the quality of sound as he promise which differentiate itself from the default factory in built sound system inside my Mitsubishi GLX car originally.

Patience is virtue, whom would spend his time to explain clearly through drawing to illustrate the benefits and supporting facts about his recommended setup to my car. From a paper cone speakers and Sony Drive SHX head unit, changed to 4 set of Helix B62C Active components and Pioneer DEH head unit.

He has sit through with me after the setup to run through what he has recommended. Without amplifier has also manage to bring out the detail of background sound, though having sit through cars equipped with amplifiers, the fine detail couldn't be comparable. In my aspect, this setup has assured my investing is worthwhile.

Highly recommended Ted and Autoimage and especially to Mitsubishi GLX drivers who are looking to give yourself the next level of sound experience!

I was there this afternoon and was attended by Ted and Simon. Ted was patient and gave good advice on what I needed. Simon did a great job and I am very impressed with the work and service. He configured the stations and even tuned the equaliser. Great work guys. Highly recommended.

Normally I do not write review as i find it too time-consuming & troublesome. But i was so impressed by Audioimage service that I felt obliged to do it.
Did a research on which Audio shop to go & came across Audioimage & noticed it had a whopping 90+ good reviews- so far the most i can see.
Went there on 17Dec2013 to change my audio head unit and was thoroughly convinced that all the good reviews are true, no kidding!
Was attended to by Ted & Simon & I daresay that the service cannot be any better!
Normally, for most audio shop they'd just install for you & that's it. But Simon went the extra mile to configure all my radio channels & tune my equalizer as well. That's what i call excellent service!
Price is reasonable & service is quick & excellent.
Seriously, if you want to service your audio, go to this shop as they specialise in it. No point go to shops that do not specialise as the expertise level may not be there
Keep up the good work Audioimage!
I will definitely all my buddies to this shop.
