Nissan suspends production to protect workforce

Nissan announced that it will temporarily suspend production of its U.S.A manufacturing facilities in Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee, and Canton, Mississippi starting 20 March to 6 April 2020.
The company is taking this action to boost containment efforts where possible around the COVID-19 outbreak.
Currently, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at any Nissan facility. Areas deemed business-essential will operate with enhanced safety measures.
