The updated DS 7 SUV gets redesigned lighting, a new infotainment menu, as well as a line of plug-in hybrid drivetrains.

Remember DS? There's now an updated DS 7, and it looks rather impressive.

Up in the front of the car, the head lights are now slimmer, while the LED elements below the SUV's head lights have also been redesigned, now appearing as five strips in a boomerang shape, quite like those that we have seen in the DS Aero Sport Lounge concept.

Badging at the rear of the DS 7 has ditched the 'Crossback' part of its former name
The rear of the car also gets taillights which now sport a dark metallic finish.

The boot lid and badge meanwhile have been reworked with sharper lines, and the badging has been altered at the rear, in line with the car's new simplified name, which has dropped its 'Crossback' second half.

The car also gets new 19-inch rims, and is also now being offered with a new Gloss Black variant that finishes the window surrounds and roof bars in (you guessed it) gloss black for extra emphasis on the car's dynamic silhouette.

Inside, the car gets a redesigned 12-inch touchscreen, with a new widget-based menu for accessing all its functions. Two new Nappa leather colours are also being offered for the DS 7: Basalt Black and Pearl Grey. These new colours will match with pearl stitching.

A 12-inch touchscreen in the cabin is said to sport a redesigned interface, now with a widget-based menu for more intuitive use
The DS 7 lineup is being led by three plug-in hybrids. A 225bhp drivetrain will serve as the entry-level plug-in hybrid, while a 300bhp drivetrain is also available, with electric motors at either axle.

A third, 360bhp plug-in hybrid option is also offered. This variant will come with 21-inch wheels, a 15mm lower ride height, as well as a widened track at thr front and rear axle.

Acceleration from zero to 100km/h is said to be accomplished within 5.6 seconds with the variant.
