Looking for a long lasting, high-quality tyre that offers high levels of grip and stability? The Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51 will be your ideal fit.

Many drivers have different needs and wants when it comes to tyres.

For those who see cars as a mode of transport, tyres that offer high mileage and good fuel economy are benefits that can help reduce running costs.

What the Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51 offers is more than just economy. It provides safety and a high level of grip in dry and wet weather conditions, too.

    Stability with comfort

The Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51 tyres offer a more rigid design that doesn't sacrifice on comfort
This is quite an impressive feat for a tyre designed for every day use. How the AE51 achieves safety and economy at the same time is thanks to its new design, offering more rigidity.

A rigid design generally means the tyre will offer more responsiveness, as the tyres will not deform too easily under braking or cornering forces.

The blade-cut sipes within the ribs of the AE51 also help to increase rigidity.

Where this generally causes a reduction in comfort, it is not the case for the AE51. The inside shoulder employs fine grooves on the circumference of the tyre, which offers a smoother ride and better comfort.

The unique thread pattern helps to reduce radial noise emitted from the tyres
Along with this, the AE51 employs a unique thread pattern to offer increased comfort levels, with a reduction in noise.

Five different types of pitched blocks are aligned in a unique way, reducing radial noise from the tyres.

With the addition of three wide ribs on the centre of the tyre, it too allows for increased stability at high speeds.

More grip in the dry and wet

Increased grip levels are in relation to the tyre compound used. The AE51 relies on a unique compound called A.R.T Mixing, or Advanced Reaction Technology.

Blade-cut sipes along with lightning grooves allow for expanded water dispersion channels within the thread
A.R.T Mixing allows for a more uniform mix in the compound, significantly improving the dispersion of silica compared to conventional models.

And for this compound to be transferred effectively onto the road, blade-cut sipes on the centre rib offers a more uniform contact patch.

Grip levels are not sacrificed in the wet either. The AE51's lightning grooves along the centre rib allows for expanded water channels and an increased total edge volume, allowing for more effective displacement of water when on the move.

Long lasting with good fuel economy

Dimples on the edge of the sidewall allow for better heat dissipation when on the move
These safety benefits in all weather conditions are ideal. But the AE51 offers better economy, too.

The uniquely pitched thread pattern for example not only helps to reduce noise. It reduces the chance of uneven wear, increasing the worthiness of the tyre even at high mileage.

Heat and high rolling resistance also can contribute to poor fuel economy. But the AE51 employs a unique 'Dimple Shoulder' pattern on the edge of the sidewall.

This helps to increase the overall efficiency of the tyre, along with allowing for better heat dissipation, helping to improve fuel economy.

    Tyres for every day use

Paired with Konig Dekagram rims, the Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51 tyres are the perfect choice for mid-sized sedans
The Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51 are the perfect tyres for those who see themselves on the road every day, and are looking for an efficient tyre that also offers good on-road performance.

Designed for mid-sized sedans, the AE51s we tested were installed on a Toyota Corolla Altis, paired with lightweight, flow-formed Konig Dekagram rims, distributed by YHI International.

The BluEarth-GT AE51 tyres are available from all authorised Yokohama dealers in Singapore. It is available in a wide range of sizes, from 14-inches right up to 19-inches.

Yokohama is distributed by YHI Corporation in Singapore, and you can get a quotation for the AE51 by sending a message to its Facebook page, here. To find out more about the AE51, head over to the official website of YHI Corporation, here.
