A Nissan Ariya is about to attempt to make an epic trip from the magnetic North Pole to the South, all in order to raise awareness of the climate crisis and the critical role electric vehicles can play in reducing our carbon footprint.

Piloting this Nissan Ariya will be British adventurer Chris Ramsey. Departing in March 2023, Ramsey will travel over 27,000km, and will drive through 14 countries, from the Arctic to North America and the South, before crossing to Antarctica.

The journey will be attempted by Chris Ramsey, who has previously piloted a Nissan Leaf from the U.K. to Siberia
The Nissan Ariya may be aided by the firm's e-4orce all-wheel drive system for this adventure, but it will still need a suite of modifications, to survive the brutal cold temperatures as well as the various harsh environments which will range from torrential rain, to mud and soaring temperatures on top of the high altitudes of the Andes region.

As such, it will be modified and equipped by Arctic Trucks, renowned specialists in polar vehicles. The firm will also be providing the logistical support and expertise to help plan a safe and accessible route through the most remote and hostile environments on Earth.
