Mercedes-Benz launches the new E-Class Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class family welcomed its newest member in Singapore - the new stylish and sporty E-Class Coupe. Designed with a clear, expressive and sensual design, the new E-Class Coupe offers long-distance comfort for four people, combined with the latest state-of-the-art technology.

The new E-Class Coupe is larger and more luxurious than its predecessor, having grown 123mm in length, 74mm in width and 33mm in height. The significantly larger footprint affords passengers additional space and comfort while the wider track (+67mm at the front and +68mm at the rear) improves the car's dynamic behaviour. 

The E-Class Coupe's design is characterised by a distinctive front end with a low-positioned sports grille, a long bonnet with powerdomes, a squat, rearward-shifted greenhouse and a muscular rear end. With the absence of a visible B-pillar and four fully retractable frameless windows, the E-Class Coupe conveys a sense of stylish luxury. At the rear, there is a new welcoming function of the tail lamps - when unlocked, the rear LEDs illuminate successively from the centre of the vehicle outwards, and the reverse then takes place when the car is locked. 

The interior of the E-Class Coupe comes furnished with the Widescreen Cockpit found throughout the new E-Class family. Two optionally available 12.3-inch displays are merged within a single, unbroken surface, providing the driver with unfettered access to all of the car's functions. By using the touch control buttons on the steering wheel, the driver can control the multimedia system and the instrument cluster using swiping motions, without having to take his hands off the wheel at all. 

The interior also features high-grade materials and contemporary colour landscapes to create a sporty yet voguish ambiance. For the E-Class Coupe, there is a choice of two new light wood trim packages in open-pore and high-gloss finishes. The AMG Line package is also available, which offers the choice of a sporty, highly contrasting leather interior in either black/classic red or black/deep white.

The E-Class Coupe comes with two engine choices - the E200 packs a 2.0-litre engine producing 181bhp and 300Nm of torque, whilst the E300 has a 2.0-litre engine producing 241bhp and 370Nm of torque. Both variants come equipped with 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmissions as standard.
