I am reviewing this product which was provided in partnership with Motul and MCF.

1. Previous oil used: Castrol Edge 0W30
2. OCI: 10K KM
3. Product used: Motul 8100 X-Clean+ 5W30 5L
4. Date of change: 05 Jan 2017
5. Date of review: 10 Jan 2017
6. Vehicle used: 2012 Kia Cerato Forte 6AT 1.6L sedan
7. Mileage at OCI: 120K KM

First impressions after few days of driving:
1. Smoother idling
2. Engine does not sound as rough during power delivery
3. No marked improvement to fuel consumption, if any at all

I am not very clear if the above observations are due to fresh oil being used, therefore I can only have a proper conclusion closer to the next OCI at 130K KM.

I do not know the actual retail price of this product, therefore I am not able to conclude if this product is worth trying out. Readers who are interested have to do their own sums based on the retail price of this product.

But based on what I feel so far, this is a good product.

What I like
Smooth idling and power delivery. No increase in power felt.

What I do not like
No significant improvement to fuel consumption, if any.

Review
Motul 8100 X-Clean 5W30 made my car's engine quietier and smoother, with a slight improvement in fuel economy. The engine is now more willing to rev and feels more powerful.

What I like
- Smoother acceleration
- Slight improvement in fuel economy
- Smoother idling

What I do not like
Nil

There aren't many oil that is are rated low ash for newer diesel engines with DPF. This is one such oil that i can find in the market. It is good enough for an oil change every 10000KM. Other oils i tried are good till 6000, or 8000KM before needing a change.

What I like
smooth oil that protects the engine well.

What I do not like
it's more costly than other oil. but not many options for me to choose from anyway.
