Just used this oil for my latest car servicing. Felt that the car is more responsive moving off from traffic lights, smooth and quiet at cruising speed. Similar to the previous oil I had used - Motul 8100 X-cess 5W40.

What I like
Smooth and quieter cruising ride.

What I do not like
Nothing.

Had the opportunity to try out Motul H-Tech Prime 5W-40 engine oil. Before that was on Amsoil 5W-40 for 12K kms.

Had EO changed on 17 Jan and here are the observations after 1 week:

1. Engine was smooth and quiet during start up. This is evident with new EO change.
2. Need to accelerate harder to reach same speed (power came on slower) compared to Amsoil, Redline and Motul 300V used previously. Comparable to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30, Motul 8100 Eco-enery 5W-30 and Castrol Edge 0W-40.
3. Mileage dropped by 10% But not conclusive as oil is new.

This are the observations for 1 week of using Motul H-Tech 5W-40 on an 11 year old car at 190K mileage.

What I like
Smooth engine starts and also during operation.

What I do not like
Cost - could be higher than similar grade/class of EO.

Got this 5W-40 wt oil and proceeded to a workshop in Sin Ming to do the oil change.
After the change, drove 1 full tank before writing this review. Mileage has increased from my usual ~540km per tank, to 570km this last tank before top up. Driving profile is the same.
The engine also felt slightly smoother compared to the new feel of my previous oil (Torco SR50).

What I like
How it makes the car feel smooth and effortless

What I do not like
Cost compared to other, perhaps less capable, oils

Participated in the MCF giveaway and got this oil to try. Just did servicing and drove for a few days before posting.

Overall, from initial impressions,feels about par with my previous oil (Bardahl synpulsar, which in itself is not bad). On closer observation and driving, do notice that engine feels slightly smoother then compared to when I first did the oil change with the Bardahl, and revs with abit more response.

Will monitor fuel economy to see but so far so good :)

What I like
Makes engine run smoother (compared to previous oils I've tried like Shell helix, Mobil 1)

The servicing mileage was overshot by 10k, and the engine was starting to be noisy... I used Motul for my servicing on 21/12/2016. I just did the basic servicing, engine oil and oil filter changed. Right now, the car engine is still smooth and quiet.

What I like
The car engine smooth and quiet

I was given 4litre plus 1litre of the Motul oil H-Tech 100Plus engine oil for my ride.
Went to my regular workshop at AMK Autopoint for my oil change immediately as it has due for a change, prior to the change I was on Shell 5W30 EO which is recommended by agent. Engine sound kinda rough when it hit 6k km and above. Can hear the engine roaring when hitting 4k rpm.
After the change, as expected, engine quieter as soon as I started for the first time after the changed. Drove for few hundred km for the past few days and can really felt the engine is quieter when hitting 4k rpm, still roar but softer compared to my previous EO.
A day after the change, top up another tank on RON95. Not sure if it's the engine oil effect or what, my fuel efficiency got better. Can go more km base on the same driving pattern, plenty of start stop and short distance. Hope this efficiency will last longer on this oil change.
Overall experience for this oil change is very positive, would not mind for another change with the same oil again when it reach my next servicing.

What I like
Quieter engine, better fuel efficiency.

What I do not like
So far none.

Chose this Motul EO for my 80k service.

>Daily short distance drives to work;
>Weekly medium distance to the north;
> Occasional drives to city for meetings, errands. Stop-and-go

Generally, engine maintains low noise even when rev to >3,500rpm. Previous EO was Lexus 5w40 from stockist. Purely butt feel, both EO rather similar though Motul is priced higher and turned brownish later. Smooth at operating temperature.

Lower vibration during cold start and less sluggishness upon moving off. Fuel efficiency maintained for both EO.

What I like
EO turned brownish at later interval, around 8k;
Engine generally quieter;
Added stability detected?

What I do not like
Generally higher cost;
Viscosity seems excessive, will try Motul 5w30 type since my car is not turbo nor supercharged type;
Prices varies widely from different workshops. So do ask around first.
