Component speaker is a speaker system consisting of multiple separated speaker components, matched for optimal sound quality. Typically a component speaker set consists of a pair of tweeters, mid-bass drivers and crossover. When a sound travels outside the range capabilities, crossover will ensure that it will be automatically played by another speaker. This will ensure that each speaker reproduce sound accurately and will not be distorted. Component speaker systems are generally of better quality, although coaxial speakers can be quite good. They are typically less expensive and easier to install.
