You can don't brush your rim after spraying on Sonax Wheel Cleaner onto your rim. Just leave it to take effect on the rim for a few minutes then you can use a high pressure jet to rinse it off. This product is very effective in removing stubborn brake dust, dirt and oil on the rim. Rim restore back to original shine as though as it was newly bought. I highly recommend this for any one wanting to clean their wheels with ease.

What I like
Without much effort and time, I can restore my rims back to original shine.

I have tried many brands of wheel cleaners and this beats them all hands down. Before While queeing for petrol station wash, just spray generously over your rims, within 3 mins u can see the brake dust all dissolving... go in for a wash and the rims comes out clean and shiny!

Tried this on super dirty rims, few weeks worth of road grime and brake dust - spray on, leave on for 3-5 mins and then splashed off with water. You can see the dirt literally being dissolved off as the sprayed on liquid turns to a red hue. If you have a high pressure jet, the effect after cleaning would be better. Considering I didn't have one, after splashing off with water, a light wipe off with a soaked cloth with left over water from washing the car was all it took to get back your shiny rims.

What I like
Past users complained that this product works but have to bear with the strong smell which may be described as pungent. This new formula has a citrus smell due to the limonene used which won't put you off.

What I do not like
The small-sized bottle I had with me (500mL), probably used a quarter of the bottle on the super dirty rims I tried this product on. If you clean your rims every week, you shouldn't have to use that much and a bottle could go a long way.

This rim cleaner is very easy to use. Just spray on evenly on the rims (spoke, and inner areas) and leave it for a few mins to work on the dust and dirt. When it is done, you can see a deep purpish residue. The dirtier the rims, the larger amount of residue. The just simply rinse off, wipe with a cleaning sponge and dry them. Optional to apply rim sealant after that.

Sprayed this on rims, left on for a couple of minutes and the liquid turns a reddish/purplish hue. Washed off with buckets of water and rims are more or less clean.

What I like
Quick fix for lightly soiled rims.

What I do not like
Heavily soiled rims needed multiple applications, in the end still had to use a brush to clean stubborn stains.

Okay, i must admit first. my car came with painted BLACK rims. so to say the product restored the rims to its shiny glory, would be a lie. but i have to admit, the rims do look cleaner after applying the product after a car wash. some stubborn stains still require a bit of elbow grease to get them out, but with the product, it is definitely much easier compared to before i got my hands on the Sonax Rim Cleaner.

These are awesome rim cleaners that you will never regret buying. The effectiveness of this product is amazing. This was the second time I cleaned my rims; the first was with a friend of mine using another product, which didn't even come close to this! I spent only a few minutes to clean my rims with these. With only a few wipes, the stubborn stains and brake dust were removed! No more visible impurities on my rims now. Another plus point for this product would be its after-wipe coating which lasts for a few days, almost like the function of a wax.

These stuffs comes with a slightly heavy pricetag.

Great easy to apply product but one must be diligent to wash the rims thereafter. Not a spray on and leave it product, but the effort is worth it. Spray, leave on for five to ten minutes and then wash it off, as easy as that....except that you will be surprised how dirty your car rims are once the product has done its work. In my case, it left streaks of dark brown on the rims but after washing them, the rims are now shiny. The last time I saw them so shiny was when I sent my car for a few hundred $ wash, wax and protect. Now with Sonax products, the money saved can go elsewhere.

Soapy feeling from contact with the substance.

managed to use once after the car clinic in May 2014. cleans as claimed, but must stick to the timing between spraying and cleaning, otherwise have to use cloth / sponge / brush to / stronger spray to rid of the residue completely.

What I like

residue may stay on after several minutes of spraying / application unless a lil effort as mentioned above is applied.

Brake dust on my rims has always been a headache to me. Tried using Sonax Rim Cleaner over the last weekend. It proves to be very effective on my rims. It destroys even the toughest of the brake dust. The consistency of the Sonax made it great on the most intricate, difficult to get to portions of the wheels. This is where I would typically find "leftover dust" that needed to be cleaned. The colour change foam let's you know that it's working. And with minimal effort, they'll rinse away, leaving cleaned and sparkling rims. I am very impressed with the results I Had.

Spray the wheel cleaner first before you wash your car or tyres as the spray need some time to take effect and wash off the stubborn dust and stain on the wheels. After leaving it for 5-10 mins, the spray will turn to a reddish solution on the wheels, indicating that it has removed the dust and stains. The stains will be gone once I wash it with a strong water hose, leaving the wheel a clean state.

What I like
The strong removal of stubborn stains and brake dust.

Easy to apply and results can be seen almost immediately

What I do not like
There is a strong smell after the spray has remove the stains.
