I had already installed this in our previous car and was pleased with the effect, so this was the obvious choice to go in our replacement second car, which also suffered from a distinct lack of bass. I looked at some other makes, but from reviews I found any savings in cost seemed outweighed by problems with reliability and service, so it was back to Pioneer. It does the job - provides a solid bass to your bum (assuming you put it under the driver's seat). I generally have it set around half volume as this gives a nice sound/feel without making you want to take ecstasy and jump around a lot. Installation of any device like this is not simple - you need to dismantle substantial parts of the car interior to install it and run wires, and make solid power connections into the car wiring for it to work properly - so if you are not something of a car DIY person you'll probably need help or a professional install.

What I like
These woofers delivers awesome bass at desirable levels, in whichever way you want it to play.

What I do not like
Installation deemed tricky!

The first time I played these woofers with dubstep songs, it just made me chuckle for a moment, enjoying the pounding and thumping bass that the woofers deliver. Had these installed last month, and till now it still didn't fail to put a smile on my face every morning I drive to work. Low toned bass were delivered perfectly and powerfully, and mid toned sounds are delivered with a rocking feel. A must-have for those audiophiles out there!

What I like
Low toned bass delivery was powerful, 'thumping and pounding' effect. Mid and high toned are being delivered well with no distortions whatsoever.

What I do not like
Expensive!

These woofers performed like a beast right upon installing it by the boot of my ride. I had no regrets getting these woofers. What it delivers is the great sounding, sweet bass that pounds really well in my car. Mid and high tones are also delivered with no problems at all. Once, I turned up the volume of my audio system to a really loud level, and I'm totally blown away by the undistorted, clear bass that these PowerBass L-1004D delivered. Would totally recommend these for the budget audiophiles!

What I like
Clear, no distorted sweet-sounding bass, along with mid and high tones delivered well.

What I do not like
Being quite an old model, it is slowly depleting in stock.
