Motul 300V Power Racing series was never on my purchase list due to the high price tag. The effect between Motul and RED LINE was quite identical, probably due to the same group of oil (Ester-based). The visible difference will be the fuel consumption which 300V tends to provide slightly better fuel consumption.

What I like
What I like will be the fuel consumption, I managed to clock half tank approx230km compared to approx210km previously, proven ester base engine protection, smooth revving all the way to redline and the quiet operation when the car idling.

What I do not like
Price Tag. Not for average car owner.

Motul knew they have great and reliable products on hand, so do numerous car manufacturers...

Challenge is for local distro to get them out on the streets! Having used a few brands of engine oil before trying the Motul 300V (including Motul 5w40), this EO still manages to surprise me. Easier cranking & ever so eager to rev on my non-turbo B&B car. Drives better when fully loaded with family members now.

This review was done after spending around 2000km since the Motul EO & filter change.

What I like
Consistency, still rather clear & not black yet after some 2000km;

Easier cranking & people will appreciate this reliability in any place, any temperature;

Rev above 3.5k rpm, engine not as loud. Easier to keep it below 2k rpm @ 80km/h

What I do not like
Need to source myself for next change, WS usually don't carry of charges way higher price;

Takes a toll on fuel consumption, around 40-50km less.

Trying not to have a placebo effect after an oil change is hard. You usually get the just service oil feeling,

Motul 300V has the usual just complete an oil change feeling. What the difference between this oil and the other oil needs to be factual. So, my usual oil, operating oil temp is hitting 108C during traffic jam. This is not to be confused with coolant temp at the usual 90degree mark.

With the Motul 300V, it runs a tad cooler at 99 to 102 degree C. It sound way "firmer" on idling and the turbo spools a tad quicker.

On a negative side, wish I had change to Motul 300V sooner.

What I like
The refinement after the oil change. The feel of the turbo as well as the engine note is like a tune up although its really just an oil change Plus oil filter.

Quick a fair bit different from the usual brand oil from the petrol company off

What I do not like
Probably the cost is a bit of a concern as well as the shorter mileage to oil change must be adhere to.

Double ester has it good quality and has come a long way since the earlier years.

Motul is far from being a stranger. This brand was already top on my list of choice oils from the days before I was driving. It was used extensively on my 400cc motorcycles that I have owned.

What I like
One of the few truly Ester based fully synthetics that you can butt dyno for smoothness. A Vertu amongst the Samsungs and Iphones

What I do not like
The price. While it is famed for low wear rates seen by UOA on the BITOG forums, the high price locally might put potential users off when there are other choices in the market that provides similar or slightly lower " protection ".

I have used a few brands of engine oil before trying the Motul 300V, this engine oil is really good. It helps to keep my oil pressure very consistent. Really compliments with the supercharger inside my ride.

The engine is willing to rev more easily and I also notice that the cranking was slightly more effortless.

I would totally recommend those who want to try high-performance engine oil to get this.

I would like to take this chance to thanks, Motul Singapore for organizing such a wonderful giveaway to allow me to try out this oil. I will definitely use Motul 300V for my next servicing.

What I like
I like how the engine oil makes me love driving my car again. So effortless to rev now.

What I do not like
Price is a bit steep compared to the engine oil I have used previously.

I changed to the 300V on my XC60 2.0T which was tuned to 240BHP and 350NM torque, prior to a long road-trip up to Kedah, or around 2000kms in total.

I drive hard and I rev hard, and hence I am very particular about the engine oil I use, as I demand the highest levels of protection from EOs while remaining responsive and smooth throughout the rev range.

The 300V was fantastic, and my XC60 was revving smoother than before even through to the redline territory, while oil temperature did not spike significantly even after a long hard drive of about 8 hours with only 2 short pit-stops in-between.

Needs a UOA to determine how well the oil held up after such a demanding and grueling drive, but the XC60 still feels as responsive in city driving after about 3000kms on this oil.

What I like
Very stable temperatures and shear even under prolonged stressful conditions. Definitely lives up to its reputation as a top tier racing oil

What I do not like
Price point is not very competitive vs other alternatives, but you pay a premium price for premium quality.

Signed up on mcf to review this Motul 300V 5W30
http://www.Mycarforum.Com/topic/2703718-mcf-giveaway-60-bottles-of-motul-engine-oils-sign-up-now/

Mileage on the 2007 Jazz is close to 145k kms so was wondering if this racing oil would be able to give some new life to my daily drive, given all the rave reviews I've heard about this engine oil (FYI, it's Made in France). As a reference, the previous oil I was using was Castrol Edge SPT 0w30 with moly additive.

What I like
1. Fully synthetic, ester-based oil, which means your engine is getting nothing but the best lubricant money can afford.
2. Buttery smooth pick up.
3. No discernible change in engine noise.

What I do not like
1. Pricey if I were to purchase it off the shelf.
2. For a racing oil, unsure if I am able to stretch it for >10k OCI.

Very smooth and eager to rev. Im not sure if this is my guts feeling. It will prompt to drag your car to rev. Responsiveness.

Indeed its a racing oil. Stability.

Fuel consumption suffered a bit (about 20-30km) from other oils I had tried.

This oil is design for car racing. Probably will not fill this again but will definitely try other non-racing oils from Motul.

What I like
Stable.
Quiet.
Double ester.

What I do not like
Definitely the price.
