I was pleasantly surprised when this dashcam recorded very, very well at 1080p resolution-at night. I 'd have to say that the night recording quality is easily one of the better ones I've seen so far. Daytime recording quality is equally good. However, the windshield suctions cup that comes with it well, sucks. It forced me to mount the cam upside down and was quite annoying because the image flip function tends to degrade the image/video quality. However, I fixed it by just buying another suction cup which let me mount it normally. Another flaw is that loop recording doesn't seem to work.
What I like
Outstanding day & night video & image capture quality; 120 degree lens gives wide field of view
What I do not like
Provided suction cup makes installation awkward, image flip function severely degrades image & video quality
I installed this on
Suzuki Swift

I have been using DOD cameras for a while now and I would say that GSE580 is the best from DOD. It is not without flaws, but at least the image quality is amazing. I'm very satisfied with the night recording. It has better quality as compared to other cameras. GSE580 has very lightweight and it looks lighter than it appears in pictures. One of the flaws is that the windshield suction cup. I had to buy a new one because the original one forces you to mount the camera upside down. It's not very convenient I would say. Well, I would say that it is one of the best although I find it a little bit pricey.
What I like
Night recording is incredible good.
What I do not like
A little bit pricey and the windshield suction cup is weak which force me to replace a new one.
