Reliable brand.
The CPC 2 have good grip in both wet and dry conditions. As towards the end of its life span. The dry grip is still consider good. These tyres don't screech even when you applied E-brake.
The aquaplaning resistance is unpredictable. Beware of this.
The ride is comfortable and quiet only on good tarmac condition. Quite bumpy.
I have been running about 30000km on these tyres. Left about 5mm thread.
I am not a aggressive driver.
Great performing tyres with quick treadwear. | Posted on 13 Oct 2013 |

I bought these tyres as at the time most drivers had had them installed and the price was acceptable for a premium brand. I have been very happy with the grip in the dry, and in the wet they are less predictable and when they let go on wet roundabouts, the grip doesn't feel like it's there(they hang on well up to that point though). Must be said they have great resistance to aquaplaning. I have however been shocked by how quickly they have worn out though.
What I like
Good grip on dry tarmac and minimal noise.
What I do not like
Bad treadwear for its performance, and wet grip isn't of that great.

I found the ContiPremiumContact 2 to have very good grip and performance in both wet and dry conditions. The aquaplaning resistance is good and the ride is comfortable and quiet, but the major letdown is the crap treadlife. While I am an aggressive driver, clocking only 10k on any tyre is just ridiculous. The complete lack of treadlife kills this tyre.
What I like
Very good grip and performance in both wet and dry conditions. Aquaplaning resistance is good.
What I do not like
Treadlife
Tread wears out fast, but the tyre is good while it lasts | Posted on 01 Jul 2013 |

This tyre doesn't last long, but at least it gives very good performance during the short lifetime. The stopping distance is short on both wet and dry roads, the grip is very tight, and it still stays quiet. The only problem with this tyre is really the short lifespan.
Wears down very fast, but at least it grips hard and doesn't lose a lot of grip as it wears | Posted on 18 Jun 2013 |

I tend to drive aggressively on the roads, so maybe that's why I had to replace after about ten k km. Moving along, the dry grip is very tight and I have never understeered with this tyre before, and the wet grip is quite good also, and aquaplaning has never been a problem. It's very comfortable and the noise is not an issue as the music playing masks the sound. However, I feel that it wears down very fast and it is too expensive to replace that often.
What I like
Comfortable and quiet while still having good road grip in wet and dry
What I do not like
Wears down very fast and is not cost effective

Review
The tyres came standard with my Sharan, and it has follow me through >70K Km for the past 1 year 8 months. Yes, no typo, it is >70K Km, and still have ~50% Thread left!!!
The tyre is surprisingly quiet, for the 1st 50K Km, and thereafter get noisier, mainly because of hardening, rather than wear and tear. Braking performance in both wet and dry are above average (day 1 till now), and grip is reasonably good (considering that I am using it on a MPV).
Thought of changing another set now as the hardening is compromising on comfort as well as safety, but unfortunately, CPC2 from Stamford not longer come with ContiSeal. Not sure about the newer CPC6. Will check it out soon.
What I like
- Thread wear is good (>70K Km)
- Quiet (up to ~50K Km)
- Good braking performance (both wet and dry)
- Above average road gripping property
What I do not like
- Pricey (was quoted $350/pc by VW Singapore - 225/50R17 with Contiseal)
