Honda has released a first sketch previewing the design an all new Prologue all-electric SUV, set for launch come 2024.

The firm states the Honda Prologue has been developed as part of its recently announced collaboration with General Motors to develop new and affordable electric vehicles. The Prologue, Honda states, will be an adventure-ready SUV capable of satisfying everyday driving and weekend getaways. And supporting this adventure-ready brief is an exterior design that combines a long wheelbase with short overhangs and a strong stance.

The Honda Prologue is also said to utilise a clean and simple design, much like the 'Man-Maximum, Machine-Minimum' ethos that informs the design of the current Honda Civic. We can't help but notice a striking similarity to the HR-V as well.

Honda states that it is planning to introduce 30 new EVs globally by 2030, with a volume of two million units. The firm also has ambitious plans for North America, with sales of this Prologue set to begin by 2024, followed with production and sales of new Honda models based on a new Honda e:Architecture to start from 2026. The firm also states that it will begin production and sales of new, affordable electric vehicles developed together with GM come 2027.
