Peugeot has moved to improve the quality of the interior, and as such there are now improved seats and better materials and new trim. There is also a new panoramic sunroof option for the hatchback and estate versions, and automatic dual-zone climate control, GPS navigation, and a JBL audio system.
As usual, a whole host of engines are expected to be available for the 308, with the petrol models including the 1.4-litre VTi with 98bhp, the 1.6-litre VTi with 120bhp, the 1.6-litre THP with 156bhp, and another 1.6-litre THP with 200bhp. Peugeot will also introduce a micro-hybrid e-HDi version of the 308 from the middle of this year, which features a stop-start system and a smart alternator able to recover energy during braking, mated to a 1.6-litre HDi FAP diesel engine which has 112bhp and complies with the Euro 5 emissions standards.
