- Lock-up ability increased to improve efficiencyBy using springs and clutch friction material, the developed product is capable of locking-up quickly at the least of effort. The lock-up area is quickly reached (80% or more in JC07 driving mode) improving fuel efficiency of up to 7%. Moreover, the driver's acceleration inputs are responsive and give the operator positive and rewarding feedback through the response of the drivetrain.
- Compact design corresponds to space-savingBy only using the necessary amount of torus to increase engine torque and vehicle creep, the size of the torque converter can be minimized. The axial width of the assembly has been decreased by 10%, allowing for a smaller unit and space saving.
- Low costProduction efficiency is improved by using automated processes and other various cost saving technologies. The multi-plate clutch torque converters of high end cars have become available for normal passenger vehicles.
