Ravenol Distilled Water (Deionised) was prepared by the ion exchange method. The water flows through an ion exchange resin-filled column. This has the ability to share their accumulated ions for the ions present in the water. Since the ion exchange resins can not be infinitely accumulate, it must be "revived", to be regenerated. This is done through the regenerant salt that is currently the most widely used (softening), hydrochloric acid (cation exchange) and sodium hydroxide (anion exchange).
The conductivity of the water flowing through it is fully automatic continuously checked and the ion exchanger regulates itself automatically. A review of the deionised water carried out regularly by the audit.
Critical for the use in vehicle batteries are the following rules:
- DIN 57510 VDE regulations for batteries and battery installations
- DIN 43 530 Part 4 batteries electrolyte and refilling water / water and makeup water for lead-acid batteries and alkaline batteries
Application NoteRavenol Distilled Water (Deionised) is for the filling of vehicle batteries, for the steam iron and aquariums ideal (to reduce the hardness of water).
