The Zertona Alloy Guardian is a Diamond hard ceramic coating that is meant to withstand the hot brake dust and stubborn road tars. It really helps to prevent “bronzing” to your rims caused by these harmful residues. Just an easy wash and good scrub at the hard corners, your rims will look just as new.
Zertona Alloy Guardian is a ready-to-use, ambient cured, low surface energy surface coating, providing a permanent, clear, corrosion resistant finish for alloys wheels to prevent the pitting and adhesion of hot brake dust onto the rim.
Bare alloy or lacquered rims can quickly become stained with brown brake dust. This dust can be hot, and bake itself into the rim. This leaves a brown, corrosion like stain. Alloy guardian is designed to prevent this, and assist with easy-clean of the wheels. Chemically, Alloy Guardian is a SiO2/Organo-silane hybrid coating. It mechanically locks into the surface of the rim, and cures to a very low energy, high temperature resistant coating. Once cured, it is very inert and is both hydrophobic and oleo-phobic.
