Zertona Glass Guardian is a low maintenance coating that prevents contaminants from bonding to the surface and limits further damage caused by corrosion and chemical attack. With Zertona Glass Guardian applied, general dirt, contamination adn insect remains can be easily removed using normal washing procedures. More importantly, the glass becomes hydrophobic and repels the rainwater very quickly, increasing visibility.

Zertona Glass Guardian bonds strongly to the -OH surface of glass. The perfluroalkyl coating is self-organising and forms a strongly water repellent outer surface. This coating is thin but very resilient, its chemistry is related to the thin anti-reflection coatings found on optics. It is transparent, chemically inert, non-hazardous and UV stable. It becomes part of the glass and does not peel, flake or crack.

Application is simple, after chemical clean to the glass to remove the contamination, the Zertona Glass Guardian is applied by wiping with a microfiber cloth. The Glass Guardian kit contains all the items required for a typical application to an automotive windscreen.
