Application
Before usage it must be assured that :
- Engine is turned off
- Exhaust system is at room temperature and has no leakage
- All exhaust system relevant parts (e.g. EGR valve) are working properly
- Check the engine oil level before application
- If the engine oil is contaminated with diesel fuel, an oil change has to be carried out before cleaning of the diesel particulate filter can be done
- Dismantle the temperature and/or pressure sensors from the diesel particulate filter
- Fill the DPF Air-Jet Fluid into the air pressure pistol, apply air pressure (2.5 – 4.0 bar) and adjust pressure at the device
- Spray the product in 5 second intervals through the probe opening into the DPF
- We recommend application of minimum 500ml of the DPF Air-Jet Fluid depending of the degree of contamination
- Repeat process if necessary - Reassemble the sensors and carry out a test drive (> 20 min)
- The soot particles that have been dissolved during the cleaning process will be burnt during the regular regeneration process
