AGM stands for Absorbent-Glass-Mat Battery.
For AGM batteries, there is a glass fiber seperator on the positive plate which is used to maintain the electrolyte and voltage of the battery.
The electrolyte is in the plate with the absorption of glass fiber seperator, the discharge capacity is large enough, stable, and the charging capacity is 4-5 times above the normal lead acid battery. Besides, it can support deep discharge and frequent charging / discharging situation.
Suitable for use in Hybrid vehicle models and vehicle with advanced START-STOP Technology, able to reduce 5-10% of fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission, as such many car manufacturers in the world have started using AGM batteries.
The AGM battery is suitable for medium to high level vehicle models (START-STOP Technology or new model vehicles)
The AGM battery has a lifespan of 3-4 times compared to a normal lead acid battery, has more cranking capacity, and has a higher charging/ discharging capability.
