Review Installed the BlackVue DR650GW-2CH with Cellink B6 battery on my car. So far the cam is performing like what it should. With the B6 battery, there is no need to tap on the car's battery, so there is no worry of the car battery running low or flat if parked over a longer period of time. Only downside is that the battery only last approx 10 to 11 hours for me. I felt that the small blinking light (which can be turned off) seems abit too low profile. Not catchy to attract attention like those of the V7 or V9.
What I like Design of the casing
Wifi
built in gps
decently good night recording
What I do not like Seems to get very hot especially in our hot weather
video seems bit grainy on the rear camera
only have a small white blinking light
Review My previous car cam gives way and hence, I tried a premium cam from blackvue. Was convinced to buy based on its quality and also the design. Pretty happy with the purchase. However, I bit worried about the parking mode recording. And hence got a power magic to support the battery life.
What I like The nice curve appearance. Video quality
What I do not like Need to get a battery support for parking mode recording.
Review Bought this 2 chsnnel DR659 and installed in my new Sylphy. Sleek and modern. Inconspicuous. The wifi function also enable transfer of footages to be easy. To prevent car battery from dying, the set must come with Power Magic Pro. Costly, but a necessity.
What I like Inconspicuous
3 modes of recording
wifi
What I do not like System feels bit are a while.
Dealer said that system just be reformatted once every 3-4 weeks
Review Got this at the recent Cars@Expo promotion together with Celllink B battery. I like the built quality of both the front and rear cameras. Coming from one whereby there is no wi-fi, I really like this wi-fi feature where it enables me to check the positioning of the camera, that it is working and also play back clips immediately on my smartphone. Quality during day is also very good and clear. Night time / low light quality is reasonably good. The rear camera is also of a sufficiently compact size so as not to get into the way of the vehicle's rear sunscreen. The external battery pack means that I can leave the camera on during overnight parking without have to worry about the ultra sensitive battery discharge error code!
What I like - Built quality
- Wi fi
- Compact rear camera so as not to block the vehicle rear sunscreen
Review Being on DR300 for quite sometimes now since I was the early adopter of In Car Recorder. Been researching around and ended up with Blackvue since it is more or less a well known brand hence after sales support will be there. Recently, my DR300 was finally toasted and fortunately for me, I have a ready standby unit of the DR650GW-2CH, initially was sceptical of whether i should install such a high end product as its main task is to act as a video evidence in the event of misfortune. After installing, man.... my only thought is why did I not upgrade earlier. the wifi feature is a great advantage in the event you need to retrieve video recording into your phone for any purpose. now with front and rear camera, in the event of an accident, it is much clearer who is at fault. Moreover there is a live feed feature which you can feed live video capture directly to your smartphone (iOS/Android) For people like me who are always wondering if my in car recorder is working or not, a quick connection to the device wifi and Woila!!! live feed immediately. Do not shortchange yourself by doing the SDcard insert and eject method which is both time consuming and effort demanding. Most of the time, you would not even bother to extract the video file due to the hassle. Wifi is the way to go...
What I like Wifi
Live Feed
Front and Rear
FHD
Design
After Sale Support
What I do not like Could be the price if you are getting one, I got it FOC hence it is almost a perfect product to me.
Review I'd just recently installed this unit from Chuan Sing at Serangoon Garden. The features for this Blackvue DVR was great. Although I never use the older version like the 500 series, but this new model is using Sony EXMOR sensor for the front unit. after reviewing through the video recorded, the daylight video was good and impressive, but when coming to low light condition the video was quite bad to my liking, lots of noise and there is purple tint on the front cam. The rear cam is good during day as well but a lot of noise during night. The video quality was not as impressive as the demo (done at night, but with lots of road light)
What I like The wifi features that able to be control on our phone.
The touch sensor for mic turn on and off.
What I do not like Bad video quality at night and also tends to get heated up very hot.
For a premium price device only bundle with 16gb microSD
The pricing will definately burn a hole in your pocket
I installed this on
Honda Vezel
