Review
Upgraded my GPS after the previous one's touch screen (can't remember the model but it was WayWay, bought about 4-5 years back) started becoming dodgy and frustrating to use.
Started shopping around and surveying various brands, we stumbled upon this Garmin model which happen to be on sale at Harvey Norman. There was another bigger version, I think the 65LM, but decided on the 55' screen as it suited us find.
Used it on our trip to KL recently and it worked well for our needs; It showed clear map and driving features, and can be easily adjusted to suit your individual preferences. The guided instructions were clear, easy to understand and timely enough. I found the clamping device on to the windscreen easy to attach/detach and the rubber sticks well too.
Some not-so-good feedback.... I found that it was not quick enough in giving the driver timely information when it required to 'recalculate' a route. On two occasions at least, I overshot the road that I was supposed to take as the GPA did not respond early enough for me to react. Also, on a route that required me to do a left filter immediately after doing a u-turn, it prompted me very late.
Other then that, it's a new 'toy' to get used to and for us to enjoy for the next few years.
What I like
Friendly driver features.
Good, clear mapping aspects.
Clear guided instructions.
Strong clamping device, easy to attach/detach.
55LM screen is big & wide enough for driver to view.
What I do not like
Late 'recalculating' instruction.
Charging socket at the back instead of at the side.

The Garmin Nuvi 55LM was installed pretty easily, and it stays upright! The user interface is also user-friendly, simple and also quick! Thumbs up to this GPS from Garmin!
What I like
I love the user interface. Simple to use. The navigation of routes are also accurate!
What I do not like
Sometimes when I miss a turn, the GPS buffer time to re-route is quite slow.
A GPS with great features! | Posted on 27 Sep 2014 |

Review
My previous GPS got spoilt and I told myself to get a new GPS instead. Decided on getting this Garmin Nuvi 55LM to avoid myself from getting lost any further without a working GPS(I get lost quite easily). Got this at the promotion show and for quite a reasonable price! What I have to say about this GPS was its awesomeness in navigating direct routes with very little buffer, and it also has alternative routes/re-routes in which if I were to go the wrong exit, a re-route would be deployed to ensure I get to my destination at the quickest time possible. There were also quite alot of features that comes with this unit. Awesome GPS!
What I like
The extra features that comes with it are wonderful!
What I do not like
Re-routing may sometime be a little slow.
