I installed this on
Toyota Fielder
Review
As with aftermarket PKE sets, the detection range is quite close to the car. Installed an extra antenna but had to do some 'tweaking' of the position so it can sense the remote even when I'm spending time buckling the kids up in the back seat. Had to do some revision on electromagnetic fields generated by the low frequency antenna to 'optimize' the positioning.
What I like
Hands-free door opening and closing.
What I do not like
Antenna needs tweaking to suit your car's 'blind spots'
I installed this on
Kia Picanto
Review
Recently, just got the Steelmate 838E PKE alarm system installed. It functioned as described but there are signal blindspots or weak signal strength at certain areas(boot area and left passengers' side) of my car due to there's only one LF antenna module which is usually install at the driver door.
What I like
Disarm automatically when you approach the driver's door and arm automatically when you walk away.
What I do not like
Weak signal coverage due to only having one LF antenna module.
