Basic protection against reckless motorists, insurance scammers, wayward pedestrians/ pokemon players / cyclists / electric scooters etc etc. Make sure it comes with the WiFi dongle. Pro tip: Plug out the WiFi dongle for normal operations and plug it in only when you want to retrieve/ view footage etc. No need to always have a WiFi hotspot near your head while you're driving!

What I like
WiFi convenience, good app. No need to ever take the SD card out again to review / retrieve footage.

What I do not like
Ideally event recording should include recording PRIOR to impact, but you can always access the regular footage

I bought the AEV to replace my "unknown brand" DVR which came as free gift. The previous DVR internal components melted and ceased to operate as I have to park outdoors at work. No such problem with the AEV. Make sure that dealer gives you the wifi dongle which enables you to view your camera positioning due to the lack of an LCD panel.

What I like
Able to withstand exposure to heat, Full HD quality.

What I do not like
No LCD panel which means you have to connect via wifi with your phone to view the camera positioning and menu.

Product is good. But disadvantage is Wifi connection with Iphone is not stable. Dunno what is the reason. Hope something can be done from the supplier.

The iRoad AEV has amazed me with the WiFi function. Easy WiFi Connection between smart devices, easy download application from Andriod and Apple Appstore. Easy snapshot and video file transfer to smart devices. Love all the WiFi function from this device! Best of the best among all the DashCam I have used.

Sleek and slim design allows the camera to be mounted behind the rear view mirror. The wireless feature is a good feature as live video feed can be view from smartphone. Image captured in the day is clear. However images captured at night can be grainy. On the whole a camera with reasonable performance given its price of less than $200.
