Review
I am very satisfied with this GPS. I have done two map updates so far and I see improvements every time. I also like the alternate route planning based on traffic information. However, the GPS does not lend itself to trip planning very well. Although it gives alternatives, it would be better if we can avoid as well as chose certain freeways/road while taking a long trip. I hope they add those functions.

What I like
Updates of maps comes in quick and promptly, and brilliant and smart re-routes when traffic is read to be congested.

What I do not like
Navigation takes quite some time, but not much of a problem.

Review
After reading all the mixed reviews online, I decided to take the plunge and buy it, and now here I am giving my 2 cents on it. First the good. On the bottom of the screen there's status bar that provides a lot of info (e.g. speed, distance, time etc.), and the rerouting when you miss that damn exit is fast and accurate. The voice command feature is very convenient as I don't need to manually input locations via the touchscreen, and point-of-interests function is good and mostly accurate. However, the bad points are really major. It takes almost 5 minutes just to acquire a sat signal. Also, the screen washes out badly when exposed to sunlight, and the UI is quite sluggish. Most annoying of all, the MyTomTom software for downloading maps and updates is horrible and badly bugged. It's sad how good this GPS could've been if it weren't for all the negatives.

What I like
Large screen. Informative status bar, fast & accurate rerouting. Accurate voice command feature. POI is accurate

What I do not like
Super long time to lock onto a satellite signal. Screen washes out almost completely in sunlight. UI is sluggish&unresponsive. MyTomTom software for maps and updates download is horribly bugged.

Review
The TOM TOM VIA 135 GPS Unit is really the bang for the buck. Very affordable. The design is sleek and slim, it is alomost comparable with a iphone 4 for it thickness. And the newly improved suction holder have amazing holding effect.It just won't come out like it use to. The only way for it to fall off is to untighten the suction cap. Navigation wise, it have a very nice detailed map, easy to understand. You hardly will miss the next turn with this gadget on your car again.
