As a long-time driver in Singapore, I've tried a few dashcams over the years. Some were decent, others just didn't live up to the hype. But after installing the BlackVue DR770X-2CH, I can honestly say this one's a game-changer. It's not just about recording accidents anymore—it's about constant, reliable protection whether you're on the expressway or parked at your HDB.

"Clear Footage, Rain or Shine"
Singapore's weather can be unpredictable—blazing sun one moment, then pouring rain the next. Thankfully, the DR770X handles all of it effortlessly. The front and rear cameras both use Sony STARVIS sensors, and the video quality is ridiculously clear, even at night or in underground carparks. Number plates, lane markings, even people walking nearby—everything is captured in crisp detail.

"Dual Channel Setup - Rear Cam Also Super Sharp"
Having a rear cam is something I'll never go without again. With the amount of tailgating and sudden braking we see here, it's good to know the DR770X is watching both ends.

"Wi-Fi Connection That Just Works"
The built-in Wi-Fi and BlackVue app make checking footage very convenient. I just connect it to my phone (iPhone user here), and I can instantly review or download clips, adjust settings, or even view live video. Especially useful after a valet drive or when parking at unfamiliar places like in town or at industrial estates.

"Time Lapse Parking Mode - Smart & Efficient"
This is one of my favourite features. When the car is parked, the Time Lapse Parking Mode kicks in, recording at 1 frame per second. It gives me long-duration coverage without draining the battery or filling up the memory card too fast. With my 64GB card, I can get over a full day of surveillance at high quality. Super useful when leaving the car overnight in open carparks or tight spots.

"Sleek Look, Doesn't Attract Attention"
Design-wise, it's slim and low-profile—blends nicely behind the rear-view mirror. People outside the car don't really notice it, which is exactly what I want in a dashcam. No need to draw attention to it.

Overall: Totally Worth It
With more reckless drivers and hit-and-run cases happening, having something like the DR770X is not a luxury anymore—it's a necessity. Reliable, feature-packed, and easy to use, it ticks all the right boxes for any Singaporean driver.

The sleekest design on the market, with a small form-factor front and rear camera to ensure the dashcam is not in your eyeline as a driver. Excellent performance with 60fps front camera to ensure fast-moving objects can be seen clearly, and parking mode now immediately activates when it detects that your engine is off. Features that require add-on modules (GPS, Wi-Fi, Cloud service) in competitor models come as standard here, so the pricing is actually very competitive with all things considered. Their app and cloud service is full-featured and does not seem like an afterthought. Installed Blackvue 770X-2CH as the POV of Tesla's front camera is limited. Also the cost of the dashcam + battery pack is equivalent to 1 year's charging cost due to sentry mode.

The tidy, clean look as well as battery storage at the rear of my Tesla is achieved by Autotrend Enterprise. Pretty stoked with this set up.

Very sure that it will be a worthwhile investment in the upcoming few years of my career ownership!
