Review
I had to replaced my old Marbella GPS with my latest Alpine headset but I always believe their brand is highly reliable. I was invited to an exclusive member day last Friday and saw this Marbella QB5 was selling at $129 with 16GB card. I was told it's a free capacity upgrade so I decided to get it. The quality is ok, I don't expected it to be extremely sharp since I know it's only a 720p dvr but I was attracted by the compact design of this camera which can be hide easily in the car. I also tried the night time recording which proven to be sharp too despite the fact that there is no in built IR light in the device. I am sure it's good enough to protect my surrounding environment in the event someone bang into me. I hope this dvr will last me long because I was not intending to spend so much on the dvr but I was willing to pay more for a brand that I rely on before.
What I like
Everything except fro the price
What I do not like
At $129 there are quite number of choice but those are mainly from China which does not come with any warranty
I installed this on
Toyota Vios
Review
Bought this as my backup dvr. 720p HD video, pretty ok quality during the day, able to make out the license plate just about 1-2 car lengths away. Night time is around 1 car lengths away with a tad more "noise". Design is compact and the physical construction is quite good. Video time per file can be set up to your likings. Basic and easy to use interface.
What I like
Video image quality for 720p.
Has functions like "Gravity sensor" and motion detector.
What I do not like
Price is a tad high for 720HD DVR considering the fact that you can get cheaper 1080HD dvr online, though those may not be as reliable.
