Subaru is updating its BRZ sports coupe for model year 2017, featuring a range of styling and performance upgrades.
The front fascia has been redesigned, with a more aggressive bumper and new head light assemblies with integrated daytime running lights, as well as optional LED fog lights. At the rear, there is a standard aluminum wing and LED taillights. The interior has been updated as well, with a redesigned leather-wrapped steering wheel, 'BRZ' embroidery on the seats, and a 4.2-inch display in the instrument cluster that provides the driver with information such as lateral forces, accelerator pedal position, braking force, steering angle, oil and water temperature, and battery voltage.
The Subaru BRZ also receives a slight bump in power, up to 205bhp (5bhp more) and 212Nm of torque (7Nm more). Other performance tweaks include revised coil spring and damper settings plus a larger rear stabiliser bar, chassis reinforcements and tweaks to the final drive ratio. The thresholds of the stability control system have also been raised, and the hill start assist feature is offered standard across the range.
A new Performance Package offered includes Brembo brakes with larger rotors, Sachs shock absorbers, and unique 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black.
