Nissan sets new record for heaviest object pulled by a production vehicle

In the presence of His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. Ghanem Alhajiri, Chairman of Sharjah International Airport, the Nissan Patrol SUV became the Guinness World Record holder for the 'Heaviest object pulled by any production vehicle' on top of penning down a new chapter in its illustrious heritage. In order to express its thanks for its invaluable support, Nissan shared this accolade with Sharjah International Airport.

The event was held at Sharjah International Airport, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E), where a stock production Nissan Patrol hauled a 170.9 tonne Ilyushin Il-76 cargo plane - including fuel and the cargo for over 50 meters, smashing the previous record by 15 tonnes.

The Ilyushin Il-76 is known as one of the world's toughest cargo planes, designed to be able to deliver cargo and take off and land to some of the world's most extreme environments.

The Nissan Patrol has a rich heritage in the Middle Eastern region and has been in constant series production since the first Patrol arrived in Kuwait in 1956.

It has since built a reputation for being one of the most durable, reliable and capable off-road cars on the market.

H.E.
