Female driver arrested for trespass at MFA has a history of mental illness

A female driver who has been arrested for trespassing into The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has a history of mental illness.
The Police and Immigrations & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said in a joint statement that 27-year old Malaysian is also being investigated for evading immigration clearance.
According to preliminary investigations, the female driver has entered Singapore in a Malaysian-registered car by tailgating another car. The incident took place on 17th January at around 1:58pm.
She managed to leave the checkpoint as immigration officers did not immediately raise the alarm. When the alarm was raised, the arrival car zone was locked down but efforts to locate the car were in vain.
On Monday, the woman tailgated a taxi for around an hour. On the same day, she also entered the front gate of the MFA without identification by using a similar method.
