ZR 25N is an impressive High-End Hand-Crafted dome tweeter with the natural-silk cone. The base of this tweeter is ZR 25 C, but it uses neodymium magnet.
In a flood of hissing neodymium tweeters, it is very hard to find the tweeter which would have High-End characteristics combined with a great sound. This was our primary concern. The cone is impregnated with the specially developed mineral coating. This reduces the parasitic resonances of the cone and sharpens the sound-stage. In combination with the specially modified copper-ring, the distortions are drastically reduced. This effect can be specially noticed at higher volumes of amplitudes. To achieve the warm mid-section of the sound-spectrum, the modified “Helmholtz” resonator (by ZR Speaker Lab) is used in combination with the special damping of the housing. The housing of the speaker is made of Inox-Stabilit (or Aluminum-Stabilit). In this way, resonance-free housing is achieved. The protective grille of the speaker is anti-magnetic, so it does not interfere with the magnetic field of the magnetic motor. This helps with the linearity of the speaker. The silk cone also contributes to warm, rich and natural sound with amazing dynamic and transients. This allows you to hear the cymbals of the drums like cymbals, not just the hissing sound “sssss”, like with most neodymium tweeters.
With ZR 25N you can hear and almost feel how the drummer hits the cymbal with the stick. You can hear how the sound spreads in the room, filling it with a passion that he feels about his instrument.
