The R12 Flat is a flat woofer with only 10 cm installation depth. Cooling measures are slit-shaped openings under the centering, so that the voice coil, properly dimensioned with 50 mm, always receives enough air. The membrane is made of paper as well as the underlying support cone and it is double stitched with the foam bead. Its Thiele-Small parameters make a closed housing seem sensible, such is due to their low volume requirements.
Enclosed housings are not only good for saving space, they also have a good pulse reproduction. With its performance, the R 12 Flat is the perfect all-rounder that is in line with the trend.
