RECARO Start R1 is a car seat for children from 1 year to around 11 years in age (9 – 36 in weight or 75 – 145 cm in height). It has a very long usage and basically is 3 seats in one as it can be adapted in 3 steps according to the child’s age and size. The sporty coloring reflects RECARO’s history & expertise in creating sports car seats. It comes with an "impact shield" placed in front of the child guaranteeing that even smaller children seat properly and safely. Furthermore it helps to guide the seat belt which makes sitting in the R1 very comfortable as the seat belt does not touch the child’s body. When your child grows older (child weight 15kg – 25kg) this impact shield can be taken off. Later on, child gets older, (child weight 22kg – 36kg) even the upper part can be removed and the Start R1 can be used as booster seat only.
