Most convertible tops consists of a triple-layer top material with a cotton lining for the inner roof liner, an intermediate rubber layer and a top outer layer made of plastic materials, like e.g. PVC, acrylic, polyacrylonitrile or – in most cases – a cotton blended fabric. The upper layers mentioned above are prone to persistent soiling that is hard to remove as the surfaces are rough and soft.
However, the cleaner must act very carefully on the material, even in case of the most persistent dirt, because the most soft tops only have a very poor abrasion resistance and the surface structure as well as the colour depth can be damaged. Therefore, a convertible soft top must be cleaned thoroughly, while at the same time preserving the surface.
The power foam
- Acts thoroughly and at the same time preserves the soft top
- Absorbs the dirt and binds it with the foam
- Allows for long residence times as the foam does not run off even on sloped soft top surfaces
- Can be applied precisely and therefore is highly efficient even for individual spots and soiling
- Cleaning has a touch-up effect on soft top colours
- Suitable for all soft tops
- Extremely high-yielding: 8 -12 applications at complete surface foaming as opposed to 2 - 6 applications for conventional products
- Extremely easy to use
Application
- For all convertible soft tops (plastic, cloth, acrylic, Dralon, leather)
How to Apply
Moisten the soft top with water and rinse of coarse dirt. Shake well before use. Spray the A1 soft top cleaner on the soiled surface. In case of persistent contamination let the foam react f...

How to Apply
Moisten the soft top with water and rinse of coarse dirt. Shake well before use. Spray the A1 soft top cleaner on the soiled surface. In case of persistent contamination let the foam react for 5 minutes. Clean the soft top with soft and moistened sponge. Rinse the sponge with clear water in between. Finally, rinse the soft top thoroughly with clear water. Repeat the procedure if required. After the soft top has dried, treat vinyl soft tops preferably with A1 plastic deep cleaner and fabric soft tops with A1 soft top impregnating agent.
